A Bit About Us
We are a family owned and operated business with a passion and commitment to provide high quality sensory play equipment for children of all ages and abilities. We build products for child care centres, council playgrounds, and children with sensory needs in both residential and commercial areas. Australian Sensory Playscapes was established when owners Liz and Andrew Sharp identified the need for more inclusive sensory play equipment for their own children. What began as an interest in providing appropriate and engaging sensory play equipment for their family, soon became a dedication to provide the wider community’s children with the same opportunities.
Team Members
Andrew brings 30 years of carpentry experience to the business and is involved with every stage of the process, including the design, construction and installation phases. His experience with developing sensory equipment for his own children – that was not previously available- was the driving force for the business. Realising other parents and community facilities may also be faced with the same challenges, Australian Sensory Playscapes was born to bridge the gap and provide engaging sensory play for children of all ages and abilities. Together, co-founder Liz and Andrew are a dedicated and passionate family-run business.
From the initial visit, through to project completion, you will deal with one group of specialised and passionate builders. We are committed to working in collaboration with you to meet your specific requirements and involve you in the design process. Once installed, we don’t just set and forget. Our maintenance plans involve inspections every 2 years to ensure our builds stand the test of time. We understand the importance of children remaining engaged in the equipment; therefore, we also offer ongoing customisations.
